Alongside the Apostle Paul, we believe that, "grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift." (Ephesians 4:7). As well as "there are varieties of service, but the same Lord" and that we are each "given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good." (1 Corinthians 12:5, 7). Therefore, we believe that each serving member of a local church is vital to its health and function. We provide several opportunities below at our gathering to serve on a Sunday or outside of the gathering times. The role ministry team leaders play is primarily focused on managing systems and leading people who are serving within those systems.

August Gate Ministry Teams
AG Kids
AG Kids serve the families of August Gate Church by providing a safe, fun, Gospel-centered environment for children while their parents engage in worship. We need people who are fun, energetic, and caring, and feel a passionate call to help kids grow in the gospel by teaching them about God's character, story and gift of salvation. You should be a regular attender for at least 3 months and a part of a Discipleship Group to serve on this team.
First Impressions
The First Impressions team is a diverse team with one overall mission - to ensure that everyone who visits August Gate Church - in person or online - experiences what AG is all about from the very start.
From our website to the front doors, Instagram to the visitor gift, water bottles to Facebook, we want people to know that we’re all about being disciples who make disciples that grow to know, love, and follow Jesus together by His grace. The First Impressions Team is a vital part of the mission of August Gate Church, and we’d love for you to join us!
There are lots of ways to serve on the First Impressions team, and we want to have members who are ready and willing to jump into basically any aspect of how we serve. That can include:
First Impressions team members are scheduled for one service on a Sunday, usually about once a month. This is a great team to serve on while also serving in AG Kids since it doesn’t take you out of the service and doesn’t take much time in general! It’s also a great way for your kids to serve WITH you! Even when you’re not scheduled to serve on First Impressions on a Sunday, we hope you’ll feel the freedom to jump in whenever you see a need, like a door that needs opened, a trash can that needs emptied, or an unfamiliar face that needs to be engaged with.

- Hospitality (provide cold water bottles before and after gatherings, prepare communion, empty trash and light clean up after the gathering)
- Greeting (open doors as people arrive to church, greeting them with a warm welcome)
- Connections (help people connect at AG by receiving connection cards, giving visitor gifts, answering questions, and helping them find answers by connecting with other leaders ie. you don’t have to have all the answers)
- Social media (create content and graphics to share online)

Tech
During our worship gatherings, this team is responsible for ensuring that sound, computer, lighting, and camera elements are done properly and without distraction. They help lead us in responding to the Lord in joy, humility, and gratefulness for the grace given through the Gospel. To lead worship through visual elements of tech, a basic knowledge computers is helpful but not required if you are willing to learn . Sound techs should have a firm grip on the basics of sound and at least a basic level of musicianship.
Creative Arts
The Creative Arts Team exists to help the people of August Gate Church behold the beauty of God in worship, and bare the beauty of God to the world. We accomplish this through music, video, graphic design, social media, and any creative outlet that serves the mission of August Gate Church. If you are a highly creative person, passionate about creating work that serves and inspires the church, invites and challenges the lost, and gives glory and honor to Jesus, we have a place for you!

Security
Part of being the church body is making sure the whole of the body is well-protected.
