In 2008, our founding pastor Noah Oldham served in a year long church planting residency with Matthias' Lot Church under the leadership of Pastor Marc Sikma in preparation to plant August Gate Church.

In 2009, August Gate church is planted in a Lutheran school house in the Soulard neighborhood of St. Louis.

After having outgrown it's original location by reaching people from both sides of the river, August Gate Church moved into the building at the intersection of Sidney and Minnesota in the Tower Grove South neighborhood of St. Louis in 2011.

In 2012, Pastor Kevin Wright and his family joined August Gate Church to help plant August Gate Metro East, making August Gate a multi-gathering church meeting in both South City and the Metro East.

In 2015, after serving as an elder at August Gate Church for 6 years, Pastor Todd Genteman was sent out with a core team to plant Apostles Church in the Delmar neighborhood of St. Louis

After serving in a church planting residency at August Gate Church, Rayden Hollis is sent out to plant Red Hill Church in Edwardsville, IL

August Gate serves as the sending church for Pastor Michael Byrd as he plants Faith Community Bible Church in Baden, MO.
