In this week’s text we see that God commanded Israel to work 6 days and rest on the 7th to reflect his rhythm in creation and to remind Israel of the covenant promise that He made to them. What this means for us today is that we were created to rest from our work so that we can remember God’s character and promises in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
