Ministry Teams

At August Gate Church we believe that God has given all of us gifts and talents to use to serve the body of Christ and to tell an unbelieving world the gospel story. We have several ministry teams that allow for you to use those gifts and talents. If you would like to have more information or be put in contact with a ministry team leader, email  or text/call (314) 884-1212.

AG Kids

AG Kids serve the families of August Gate Church by providing a safe, fun, Gospel-centered environment for children while their parents engage in worship. We need people who are fun, energetic, and caring, and feel a passionate call to help kids grow in the gospel by teaching them about God's character, story and gift of salvation. You should be a regular attender of August Gate Church and involved in a Gospel Community to serve on this team.

Part of being the church body is making sure the whole of the body is well-protected. As such, we need men who are passionate about caring for the body by patrolling the grounds and watching over the gatherings to ensure the safety of all in attendance. You should be a male regular attender to serve on this team.

During our worship gatherings, this team is responsible for leading the church in song and responding to the Lord in joy, humility, and gratefulness for the grace given through the Gospel. You should be a Covenant Member, or pursuing membership, be involved in a Gospel Community and serving on another ministry team in order to be in the band.

Greeting Team

This team is responsible for more than greeting and welcoming people each week to our gatherings. They provide information on the various ministry teams, collect Connection Cards so a team leader or pastor can follow up, hand out the Knot (our version of a bulletin), and meet with people who are interested in learning more about August Gate Church.  Anyone can serve on this team though some responsibilities may require that you are a Covenant Member.

Grounds Team (South City)

This team is responsible for helping the church minister to the neighborhood by being an example of how God calls us to care for our property. This entails lawn care (picking up trash, edging, mowing), as well as property upkeep (weeding and caring for plants/shrubs/trees).  Anyone can serve on this team.

Service Prep Team

This team is vital in ensuring that our gathering is warm and inviting and that everything is in its place.  This includes making coffee, preparing communion, or organizing a meal after the service. Afterward, they make sure that everything that was set out for the gathering gets put away and all is tidy. Anyone can serve on this team.

Tech Team

This team’s role at our Sunday gatherings is to ensure that sound and computer elements are done properly as they help lead in worship during our gatherings. A basic knowledge of sound and computers is helpful but not required if you are willing to learn. Anyone can serve on this team.
